08.11.2010	Telebelt conveys enormous masses of concrete at the third-largest embankment dam in the world
	At the Jinsha River – a tributary of the Yangtze – the Xiluodu hydro-electric plant is currently being built. Its main purpose is to generate electricity but it also fulfils other tasks: flood protection, deposition of sediment, improvement of shipping conditions, etc. It is expected to produce from 57 to 64 billion kilowatt hours of electrical energy each year, making this plant the third largest hydro-electric plant in the world.

	The Putzmeister Telebelt (Telescopic Belt Conveyor) is a versatile construction machine for placing concrete and a range of other materials up to a diameter of 300 mm. The constant pulsation and pressure-free material transport on the belt allows for high placement (up to 450 m³/h) with low operating costs.

11.01.2010	Pumping for all you’re worth...
	The Frankfurt pumping service “The Pumas” pumped 15,056 m³ of concrete within 68 hours in the second section of the huge bottom plate of the new Tower 185 in Frankfurt using four large boom truck-mounted concrete pumps.

10.11.2009	Long-reach boom pumps and bulk material conveyors at power plant construction site
	RWE Power AG in Hamm, Westphalia, is investing around EUR 2 billion in the construction of one of the world’s most efficient coal power plants with a total output of 1,600 Megawatts. The placement of around 250,000 m³ concrete of different property classes and consistencies is predominantly carried out using Putzmeister truck-mounted concrete pumps with up to 62 m placing boom height and two stationary PM placing booms. But a Telebelt TB 130 telescoping conveyor belt is also used on the vast construction site to deliver the different bulk materials.

04.11.2009	Shotcreting in 32 km long high mountain tunnels
	In Western China, at an altitude of 3,380 m, two parallel railway tunnels 32.6 km long are currently being driven through the Guanjiao mountains. It is the longest tunnelling project that has ever been undertaken in China. Putzmeister technology was commissioned to secure the excavation under extreme conditions using wet-shotcrete.

19.05.2009	TELEBELT completes the concrete pump fleet
	For its work enlarging the port in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), the Al-Tawi Readymix Company did not use a truck-mounted concrete pump to convey concrete; instead, they use their new TELEBELT TB 130 for 12 hours each day. The reason: the installation of large quantities of concrete which, due to its composition, could only have been pumped with unjustifiably high wear costs.

	Three large PM truck-mounted concrete pumps – with the new M 70-5 leading the way - were on site at the same time recently, as the “Oakland Touchdown”, the eastern approach of the new Bay Bridge in San Francisco Bay, was concreted.

	After a successful start to construction of Arraya Office Towers contractor Ahmadia Contracting Co. also won the order for building Al Hamra Tower - the largest high-rise project in Kuwait. For concrete pumping and placing Ahmadia cooperate closely with AGECO, Kuwait based Putzmeister dealer for many years, and with Putzmeister specialists from Germany. The high-strength concrete necessary for Al Hamra Tower construction is not easy to handle by pumps. So experience and advice is most welcome.

28.04.2009	Huge tunnel elements for the Bosporus Crossing concreted
	The metropolis of Istanbul, which boasts a population of 15 million and stands at the dividing point between Europe and Asia, is currently home to a spectacular railway tunnel construction that has been designated the Marmaray Project. Putzmeister concrete pumps and a concrete wet-spraying machine are involved in producing the huge tunnel elements for the underwater section, in tunnel lining with shotcrete and in backfilling tunnel formworks on land.

05.12.2008	Pumping ultra high strength concrete (200 N/mm²)
	Insightful tests were successfully completed in the Korean capital Seoul, which caused clients, architects, building companies and concrete pump operators to listen attentively with regard to future construction projects. With the support of a local pump operator and the Putzmeister subsidiary PM Korea, ultra high strength concrete (UHSC) was conveyed using a BSA 14000 HP-D stationary high pressure concrete pump, and all relevant measuring data was recorded and analysed.

10.11.2008	Frankfurt's OpernTurm is growing with concrete pumps and a self-acting climbing boom
	Ed.Züblin AG is currently erecting an imposing high-rise project, the OpernTurm, in the centre of Frankfurt am Main at a breathtaking speed. Including its base plate, around 55,000 m3 of concrete will be incorporated in the 170 m tower. The main players in the speedy construction progress are, among others, Europe's largest truck-mounted concrete pump M 63-5, a stationary high pressure concrete pump BSA 2109 as well as a stationary boom MX-32-4, on redeveloped tubular columns, with a climbing system.

18.06.2008	50 hours under water
	For seamless production of a 40 x 90 m underwater concrete base plate, the largest truck-mounted concrete pump in Austria, a Putzmeister BSF 63-5.20 H owned by Asamer & Hufnagl (Ohlsdorf, Upper Austria), delivered 3,300 m3 of concrete without interruption. Divers assisted at the job which took two days.

08.02.2008	Continuous concrete placing during balanced cantilever construction of a bridge
	Sophisticated bridge structures can also be built with relatively little effort using concrete pumps and concrete distribution machines. The best example of this is the Hačka viaduct in the Czech Republic, which was handed over to the clients meanwhile after only two years of construction work.

20.11.2007	Upper Eastside Berlin – challenging logistics
	The new building complex, Upper Eastside Berlin, is under construction in a prime central location in the German capital. More than 30,000 m3 of concrete is being installed by Putzmeister long-reach boom pumps and stationary pumps as well as a stationary PM placing boom in an extremely confined space.

09.07.2007	High density solids pump extinguish subsurface deposit fires
	In the Kosovan open-cast coal pits of Mirash and Bardh, from which 97% of the raw materials for generating power for the province of Pristina are produced, the brown coal deposits are slowly diminishing. At an annual output of approximately 6.5 million tonnes, the areas currently used will probably be out of coal by 2011. Further subsurface smouldering fires are reducing the coal deposits. A mobile Putzmeister mixing and pumping plant is fighting against the fires.

21.06.2007	Container terminal almost 1,700m long concreted seamlessly
	No branch of industry in the state of Bremen (Northern Germany) is currently expanding as quickly as the port and logistics sector. The reason for this is predominantly the extremely dynamic development of container handling. The construction of the new Container Terminal 4 (CT 4) with an additional dock measuring almost 1,700 m in Bremerhaven has created optimum conditions for strong, continued growth. This requires the creation of enormous concrete components.

18.05.2007	New record at Burj Dubai
	On May 13th, 2007, about 9.30 pm at Burj Dubai concreting of the 126th floor (level 125) was finished. While the three Putzmeister high-performance concrete pumps have been disposed below ( - 0,075 m) ground floor (level 0), the upper height was determined as 452,025 m. Hence the concreting team of UNIMIX which is in charge with concrete pumping at Burj Dubai, set a new record in high-rise concrete conveying through vertical pipe systems. So the former best mark in “high-rise concrete pumping” of 448 m at Taipeh 101 Tower from 2003 has been topped.

08.12.2006	New long-reach boom pump serves historical exhibition halls
	In Köln-Deutz, Hochtief Construction AG is converting the old exhibition halls on the banks of the Rhine into a modern office and media centre. While the historical brick façades have been retained, Cologne's largest office project makes progress behind the outer walls.
