Japanese customers chose Putzmeister equipment for joint venture project

On the Pahang-Selangor Raw Water Transfer Project, Shimizu and Nishimatsu 2 Japanese construction companies and Putzmeister customers are cooperating successfully. They are renting from Toyu, yet another Japanese customer. The project is executed in a joint venture with 2 companies from Malaysia. Max Eckstein and I were there 2 weeks ago in order to evaluate problems which might arise and also to check on the service level of the distributor. We had a very positive impression of him and the customer confirmed this, he is very happy with the service. Putzmeister Underground Concreting (PUC) is using MIG headed by Mr. Yap as distributor just as Putzmeister Concrete Technology (PCT) does. The customer knows MIG well because they were involved right from the beginning when he planned this job in Kuala Lumpur.

Actually, the end customer is ahead of the planning due to the good results of their Japanese organization and the quality of the equipment used. In this jobsite Toyu is renting 4 Putzmeister units SPM 407 machines for the shotcreting, Atlas Copco jumbos for drilling, and Volvo dumpers for the earth movement.

They are using SPM 407 to build the 4 entry galleries for the water channel and the entry of the TBM that will drill the long channels.
