Belgian company Besix realised the high rise project New Orleans in Rotterdam. The building was designed by the well known Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza Vieira with a height of 160 m with 45 floors. The high-rise building is used for apartments and the podium for various leisure activities. http://www.wilhelminapier.nl/
Putzmeister is on the job site with the MX-mast 28-4 and the new tubular column system RS 850 and the stationary pump BSA 2109 H-D. Already in November the installation of the mast and tabular column was completed. The stationary pump, operated with diesel, can be used for high requirements of pumping pressure and output. Therefore a pump pressure of 152 bar or an output of 95 m3/h is definitely theoretically possible. This project is the second application of the tabular column system RS 850. The first time the system was used for the OperaTower in Frankfurt a.M. and our customers were positively satisfied with this solution. Therefore we are looking forward to the positive response of our customers after the concreting in Rotterdam and will give you more news about the project development in our future reports.
Especially for this project Putzmeister developped a new ZX scissor pipe. This pipe enables switching from one main delivery line i.e. to a stand-by line even with the ZX pipe system.
